The South Eastern Welsh Pony and Cob Association hold their annual summer show on 20th June 2010, at the Great Bookham Equestrian Centre, Surrey.
This year, being our 40th anniversary event, we have been awarded by the Welsh Pony and Cob Society the WPCS silver medals for our show for all our five in-hand sections. The judges coming to judge these sections are as follows; -
Mrs Sandy Costanzo-O’Brien is coming to judge our Welsh Section A’s. She comes from the USA, and her stud prefix is Brookside.
Mr Robert Parker-Jones of the Croston Stud is judging both our Section B’s and our Part Bred Welsh classes.
Last year’s WPCS President, Mr Will Lloyd of the Geler Stud will be putting the Section C’s through their paces, alongside Mr Malcolm Peaty of the Drogeda Stud for the Welsh Cob’s (Section D’s).
Mrs Macefield has agreed to come and judge our mixed ridden ring all day, from the Trefrifawr stud.
Most importantly, this year’s see a super array of driving classes, thanks to the tremendous work in organising them all, by our young member, Miss Amelia Wenham of the Montel Stud. She has arranged everything, from the judge down to every one of the classes being sponsored alongside trophies and awards. These classes commence from approx 1pm and include the following. Competition & Exercise Vehicle/Welsh Competition & Exercise/Junior Whip/Private Drive/Light Trade/Welsh Pony in Harness/Welsh Pony of Cob Type in Harness/Welsh Cob in Harness/Hackneys a) under 14hh b) over 14hh.
